Harvest nearly complete

Saskatchewan farmers almost have the entire 2010 crop in the bin.

According to Saskatchewan Agriculture’s weekly crop report, harvest is now 97 per cent complete.

That’s a 14 per cent increase over the previous week and puts farmers well ahead of where they were last year at this time,  when a quarter of the crop was still sitting in the field.

Continued warm and sunny weather is being credited for allowing farmers time on their land.

Every area of the province is close to finishing with northwest and northeastern areas the furthest along.
