3 in custody after ‘incident’ at Swift Current home

UPDATE: RCMP have released more information about an incident in Swift Current, Sask.

Nicholas Neufeld, 18, and Courtney Hill, 22, have been charged with obstructing a police officer during the incident. 

They both appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court today. 

Approximately three hours later, Jordan Marleau, 32, was arrested without incident.

RCMP confirmed Marleau was the person they were after. 

Marleau faces numerous charges stemming from an incident on Dec. 21 in Swift Current involving illegal substances. 

RCMP said no firearms were discharged in the event. 

 

 

A Swift Current, Sask., neighbourhood was effectively shut down for several hours on Sunday. 

Three people are in custody, with police referring to the events as “an incident.” 

It happened at a home on the 300 block of Cowie Cres.

Surrounding roads were blocked and residents were evacuated from an apartment building as a precaution.

People were allowed to return to their homes, but police remained in the area. People are asked to respect all barriers until they are fully removed.
