Big Wreck is hitting the road tomorrow to support the launch of their new album, and the band is pumped to get on the road and rock North Battleford in a few weeks.

“Being on the road is one of those things. You know the music kind of morphs and changes night after night. That’s one of the things we all look forward too and as a band — we look at each show as a chance to exceed from the night before,”said lead vocalist Ian Thornley.

As part of their 35 city tour, Big Wreck hits the stage of the Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford on Friday, Feb. 10 with a show filled with music from the latest album and some favourites from the bands earlier works.

The band has a heavy schedule with 10 provinces and three U.S. states in over eight weeks. North Battleford is stop number 13 on their 40-plus tour schedule.

With their latest album Grace Street set for release Feb. 3, the platinum-selling rock band starts their road tour on Wednesday to support their latest recording. Grace Street is their third record in four years following in the path of Ghosts (2014) and Albatross (2012) both of which peaked at number five on the Canadian Rock Charts.

As for which album he likes the best, Thornley said Grace Street is probably their best to date.

“Does this record take me places that we intended it? To take the listener and Grace really does man. I’ve been listening to it for quite a while and there is no burn out factor for me,” Thornley added. “Each song is its own little journey, its own little entity that this is an album the band is very proud of.”

Big Wreck was formed in Boston, Massachusetts by Thornley, guitarist Brian Doherty, bassist Dave Henning and drummer Forrest Williams while they were students at the Berklee College of Music. Thornley also released a solo album in 2015 entitled Secrets, which drew rave reviews from the Canadian music industry

Big Wreck’s first single from the album “One Good Piece of Me” was released in November, 2016 and within weeks soared to peak at number six on the Canadian Rock Charts.

Tickets are available for the Feb. 10 show are available on-line or you can contact Gold Eagle Casino.
