It appears the Saskatchewan Roughriders will be adding another quarterback to the mix.

TSN is reporting that the agent of former Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young is on his way to Regina to finalize a deal.

Young recently hired noted sports agent Leigh Steinberg to help me make a return to football, sparking weeks of rumours that Young could be joining the green and white.

In fact, Steinberg himself tweeted that he was in negotiations with the Riders last month. The Riders would not confirm they were talking to the former NFLer, however.

CFL Insider Gary Lawless said he’s hearing the Riders could have a press conference with Vince Young as early as Thursday.

Young was picked third overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2006 NFL Draft. He played six seasons with the Titans and the Eagles and has also been a member of the Bills, Packers and Browns.

Young’s thrown for nearly 9,000 career yards with 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions, but hasn’t taken a pro snap since 2011.

He announced his retirement before the 2014 NFL season.
