UPDATE: Truck driver charged for collision

UPDATE: According to Battlefords RCMP, an east bound SUV stopped abruptly in a construction zone and was struck from behind by an east bound Tractor Trailer unit in yesterday’s collision. The 46-year-old male driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with what was described as minor injuries. The 54-year-old male driver of the tractor trailer unit was uninjured. The driver of the tractor trailer unit was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
There was a two-vehicle collision just after 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon on Highway 16 that sent one person to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A semi-trailer truck collided with a Ford Escape roughly one kilometre west of Delmas on the eastbound lane.
Fire, police, and ambulance were on scene.
