Greyhound Canada evaluating operations following STC closure

Greyhound Canada will not be expanding service in light of the closure of the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC).

In a written statement the national bus company confirmed it will continue operations along the Trans-Canada and Yellowhead highways in the province.

“We are currently evaluating, not only our operations, but the 174 communities that STC served,” Greyhound stated. “However, at this time, we have no immediate plans to pick up any additional routes, nor have we been contacted by any other service provider.”

The current Greyhound contract in Saskatchewan expired in September. Greyhound buses in and out of Saskatoon and Regina will continue to be housed at the old STC depots until then.
