Meadow Lake RCMP were required to use a conducted energy weapon – also known as a taser – to subdue a suspect during a recent call for assistance.

In the early morning hours of Friday, June 9, local officers responded to a complaint of domestic violence.

According to a media release from Cpl. Rielly Knock, the male involved with the incident fought back during the arrest.

“When members attended, the male struggled with police before one member successfully deployed his conducted energy weapon on the suspect,” said Knock.
