UPDATE: 2 children under 12 set on fire in La Ronge

UPDATE: La Ronge RCMP have confirmed two children were injured after a violent altercation with a third child. All three were under the age of 12-years-old. Police say because of the age of the suspect, the child cannot be charged. This case falls under the Child and Family Services Act, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Services.

Two children were injured after doused with gasoline and set on fire in La Ronge.

Corey Ecarnot, a spokesperson for La Ronge EMS confirmed to paNOW the incident happened early Sunday morning on the Lac La Ronge First Nation. The victims are an eight-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl.
