Battlefords RCMP arrested a suspect who was waving an axe and making threats Wednesday night.

At approximately 7 p.m. RCMP received reports of a male suspect wielding the weapon outside a residence on a First Nation south of North Battleford. Police said the man was brandishing the axe and uttering threats to harm another man who was inside the home.

After a brief foot chase, the axe-weilding suspect was placed under arrest. No one was injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen Dodge Ram 3500. The truck was stolen Wednesday afternoon from a farm outside North Battleford. Police say the truck is grey in colour with a car trailer and Saskatchewan licence plate number 191-IZZ.
