Three people are in custody following an armed robbery, after police dog Daxa tracked the suspects through heavy brush.

Just after 9 p.m., June 16,  Prince Albert police responded to an armed robbery in the 500 Block of 10th St. N. W.  A man entered the business, brandished a hand gun and demanded cash. The store clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash, then the man ran into a waiting vehicle. The store clerk was not harmed.

After viewing surveillance video, police determined three suspects were involved, but only one entered the business. The vehicle allegedly used during the robbery was located abandoned just north of the city. Service dog Daxa eventually located all three suspects through a heavily wooded area. They were taken into police custody without incident.

Money from the robbery and a pellet gun was recovered. Police also confirmed the vehicle used was reported stolen.
