Big River man charged with aggravated assault

A 26-year-old man from Big River First Nation has been arrested in connection with an assault on the First Nation on July 14.

Dallas Whitefish was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon after Big River RCMP received a complaint of an injured man who was assaulted. RCMP located the 27-year-old man who was transported to Shellbrook Hospital then to Saskatoon for undetermined injuries.

Big River RCMP are continuing their investigation.
