M.L. property crime investigations lead to arrest of several youth

Meadow Lake RCMP have made some arrests in connection to the recent theft of a van and several other property crimes in the community.

In a media release from the detachment, Sgt. Ryan How said significant progress has been made through investigations over the last several weeks. He said Cst. Rau, along with the General Investigation Section member and investigators from related incidents have worked together to identify the accused and make the arrests.

“At this point two female youths, both 13-years-old, have been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and resisting arrest,” he said. “A 15-year-old male and two 13-year-old males were also alleged to be involved and have been arrested as well. All youth will be in court at a later date.”

The suspects are also facing several other charges, including other break-and-enters as well as weapons-related charges.
