Prince Albert Summer Fair parade runs Monday night

This year marks the 134th anniversary of the Prince Albert Summer Fair. The week-long event kicks off Monday night with a parade at 7 p.m. through Prince Albert’s downtown.

The procession will begin on the corner of Central Ave. and 14th St., then proceed down Central before it turning East onto River Street. The parade will continue down River Street to Fifth Ave. E., turn South to 10th St. and turn East before ending on Exhibition Dr.

Events at the Exhibition Grounds will start Tuesday and run until Sat., Aug. 5. Daily admission prices are $13.00 for adults and $8.00 for seniors. Children aged seven to 12 are $7.00 and those six and under are free.

Daily activities will include showcases in the Exhibit Hall, a midway put on by West Coast Amusements, concessions, Optimart Trade Show, a petting zoo, the Nerveless Nocks Thrill Show, children’s pedal tractor-pull and various livestock events. Chuckwagon and chariot races will take place Tues. through Fri. at the grandstand, and the demolition derby will be held Saturday.
