UPDATE: PAFD respond to early morning structure fire

UPDATE: The home’s lone occupant, a 20-year-old male, was found with stab wounds according to a release from the Prince Albert Police Service. 

A 25-year-old male, who was known to the victim, was found nearby. 

Police said the investigation into the fire and stabbing are ongoing and no charges have been laid.

 

 

The Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of 18 St. W at roughly 5 a.m. this morning.

Upon their arrival, fire crews located and extinguished a structural fire at a home.

One occupant was removed prior to the fire crews’ arrival by a neighbour, and a further search of the home by firefighters found nobody else inside. The lone occupant was taken to hospital by Parkland Ambulance paramedics for further treatment.

According to a statment by the Prince Albert Fire Department, the fire is considered suspicious in nature and will be investigated.
