Police bust pair for cocaine possession

Two people have been charged and 125 Grams of cocaine have been seized after a joint investigation between Prince Albert police and the RCMP.

On Aug. 9, police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 Block 27th St. E. A man and a woman were arrested and 125 grams of cocaine, multiple cell phones, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a digital scale and Canadian currency were found in the residence.

A 41-year-old man from Prince Albert and 38-year-old woman also of Prince Albert are facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possessing the proceeds of crime not exceeding $5,000.

The male suspect is facing one additional charge of unlawfully trafficking in a controlled substance.
