Just days after local RCMP reiterated a plea for residents to be pro-active and lock their vehicles, Battlefords RCMP are investigating two vehicle thefts in the area.

At 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon police responded to a theft of a white 2008 Ford F150 stolen from the Forest Hall Road in North Battleford. Cpl. James Fenerich said keys were left inside the vehicle which was later located. A 35-year-old man Lloydminster man was arrested and charges are pending.

On Friday morning, a 2009 black Toyota Tundra with a Saskatchewan plate (800 HAD) was reported stolen.

RCMP once again ask residents to protect themselves from vehicle theft by locking their vehicle when unattended and not leaving the keys or any valuables in your car or truck to tempt perpetrators.
