Funnel cloud weather advisory issued

Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for central Saskatchewan, including the Battlefords and surrounding area, as conditions are favourable for the development of funnel clouds.
Conditions are expected to last until early this evening, and if funnel clouds become more favourable, watches and warnings will be issued.
While landspout tornadoes do not typically cause extensive damage, Environment Canada said they can still be strong enough to topple trees, damage roofs, or toss debris short distances.
Should a funnel cloud develop nearby, prepare to take shelter.
