Car accident on Highway 16 claims 2 lives

An early morning crash has proven fatal for two people. 

At roguhly 1:30 this morning, Warman RCMP, Fire and EMS responded to a collision on Highway 16 near Langham. Police determined a westbound truck struck an eastbound car because it was travelling in the wrong lane.

The car’s adult male driver and adult female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Another adult female passenger was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. The lone 27-year-old male driver of the truck was also taken to hospital with unknown injuries. 

Highway 16 was shut down for several hours, but has since been reopened. The investigation is ongoing.
