UPDATE: Spiritwood RCMP arrest wanted man

UPDATE: This morning, Aug. 23, Brendon Starblanket went to the Spiritwood detachment where he was arrested. He is due in Battleford Provincial Court later this week. 

Spiritwood RCMP are advising members of the public to be on the lookout for a wanted man after a firearm was discharged on Witchekan Lake First Nation on August 18 at approximately 1 a.m.

No one was injured in the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.

Eighteen-year-old Brendon Starblanket is wanted on several warrants including possession of a firearm without a license, pointing and discharge of a firearm, and breach of undertaking.

Starblanket is described as approximately 5’5” tall, 140 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

If anyone sees Brendon Starblanket, RCMP advises not to approach him and contact the local police service or RCMP detachment, or 911 in an emergency.
