Investigation ongoing for semi rollover east of Meadow Lake

Highway 55 east of Meadow Lake was closed for over nine hours on Wednesday, Sept. 27 after a semi-trailer carrying a load of wood overturned.
As of Friday, the cause of the incident is still unknown. According to Staff. Sgt. Tim Sartison of the Meadow Lake RCMP, the matter is still under investigation.
“The lone male driver was released from the hospital shortly after the collision,” he said. “The vehicle [was] moved and the highways have been cleared of all debris.”
The Ministry of Highways, along with the Meadow Lake RCMP had the road blocked off to clear the scene safety, and traffic was rerouted onto a nearby range road.
