UPDATE: Driver charged in motorcycle collision

UPDATE: The driver of a car that collided with a motorcycle in North Battleford Saturday, sending two to hospital with injuries, is facing a traffic charge related to the collision.

The 54-year-old male driver of the motorcyle, from the Ruddell area, and the 54-year-old female passenger, from the Battlefords, were taken by ambulance to Battlefords Union Hospital with undetermined injuries. They were later sent to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon for treatment.

The 17-year-old female driver of the car, from the Battlefords, is facing a charge of failing to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left-hand turn.

Two people were taken to hospital in North Battleford when a car and motorcycle collided near the intersection of 100 Street and 16 Avenue Saturday.

The crash happened at about 4 p.m.

North Battleford fire department Capt. Rob Campbell confirmed a man and a woman on a Harley Davidson motorcycle were taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries.

There were no injuries reported for the female driver of the Chrysler vehicle. 

Battlefords RCMP are currently investigating.
