1 dead after highway collision near La Loche

The La Loche RCMP are investigating a fatal collision on Highway 155.
Saturday evening, a car and a SUV collided on the highway. A 30-year-old man from La Loche and driver of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.
The 22-year-old male SUV driver and a 23-year-old female passenger received treatment for what were described as minor injuries. Two other occupants, a 29-year-old female and 26-year-old male did not report any injuries. All passengers were from La Loche.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
