Teen stabbing victim recovering: mother
A female high school student is recovering after she was stabbed multiple times at a party near Prince Albert, said her mother.
According to Prince Albert RCMP, the girl was stabbed at an outdoor party in the RM of Buckland in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police and paramedics responded, and the girl was taken to hospital in critical condition. The RCMP asked anyone with information about the incident to come forward, and specifically requested any cell phone video captured at the party. This morning, an RCMP spokesperson said she could not provide any updates on the case, and simply said the investigation is ongoing and no charges have yet been laid.
The girl’s mother, who spoke to paNOW on the condition of anonymity, said her daughter underwent emergency surgery when she arrived in hospital, but is now stable, conscious, and speaking.
“She’s in stable condition and getting better, but it’s been a lot of not just physical but emotional trauma,” the girl’s mother said. “It’s going to be a long road for her… She has a lot of scars and it’s not just going to go away.”
