Birch Hills woman facing drug charges

A Birch Hills woman appeared in court today to answer to stolen items and drugs recovered during a traffic stop on Thursday.

The stop happened after 11 p.m. near Fifth Ave. and River St.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found stolen electronics and six baggies containing either cocaine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy. Each bag weighed less than a gram, according to a release from the Prince Albert Police Service.

Jordan Fawcett, 34, was charged with stealing merchandise not exceeding $5,000, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and ecstasy.
