The 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games is pleased to announce that the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group (JPBG) in North Battleford has signed on as a Diamond Sponsor for the upcoming games.
With the Diamond Sponsorship, JPBG and their stations, CJNB, 99.3 The Rock and Q98, along with battlefordsNOW will be providing over $80,000 of on-air promotion and continuous coverage of the games both before and during the event.
“We have always been a big part of the community in the Battlefords, and this Diamond Sponsorship of the winter games is a continuation of our commitment to the people and events in our community,” said Mike Aimoe, station manager of JPBG in North Battleford.
Co-chair of the games committee, Rob Rongve commented, “We are so excited that JPBG has been so helpful in spreading the word about the games. One of the key factors in the games is ensuring the community knows what’s happening, when, where and how to get involved and we know JPBG is a huge part in that. Their sponsorship is very much appreciated.”
As part of the sponsorship, JPBG has also chosen to be the official sponsor for the figure skating event during the Winter Games.
This sponsorship of the winter games is a continuation of JPBG’s commitment to the community. In the past, they have also spearheaded many other community and charity events, such as the BUH Radiothon, and the Community Airtime Award, as well as numerous other sponsorship and charity events.
“Anytime there is an opportunity to be part of a big event or worthwhile cause, we are always happy to be good corporate citizens, and this is just another example of that,” said Aimoe.
The Saskatchewan Winter Games will take place in the Battlefords from Feb. 18 to 24, 2018 and will feature 17 different sports.
