M.L. RCMP nab impaired drivers

Meadow Lake RCMP arrested two impaired drivers over the weekend.

According to RCMP at roughly 1 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, a female was reported as driving erratically on Highway 304 east of Meadow Lake.  

The 30-year-old was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failure to provide a breath sample.

Later that day, a vehicle was stopped on Cabana Rd. south of the city. The 41-year-old male driver from the Pelican Lake area was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failure to provide a breath sample.

In October 2017, a cottage in the RM of Meadow Lake was broken into, and after months of investigation, RCMP have made an arrest.

Draven Durocher, 19, from Meadow Lake was released to appear in court in March 5.
