Extreme Cold Weather Warning Issued

Cold temperatures continue to strike the local area. An extreme cold warning has again been issued by Environment Canada for today with sunshine in the forecast with highs minus 14. The wind chill should dip to minus 40 this morning however by afternoon reach minus 27. The cold should continue tonight with clear skies although cloud is expected to move into the area overnight Temperatures overnight near minus 22 with wind chills minus 30.
Thursday is expected to be a mainly cloudy day with a chance of flurries and highs near minus 11. Warmer temperatures are expected to reach the area heading into the the weekend with sunny skies Friday and Saturday with highs ranging from minus 12 to minus 14 respectively.
