Two injured, charges laid in Macklin collision

Two people received minor injuries following a collision in Macklin this morning that caused damage to an unoccupied car and a power pole.

Unity RCMP report the incident occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. when an East bound truck lost control, crossed the roadway and struck the vacant parked car pushing it into the power pole. 

RCMP, Macklin Fire and Rescue, EMS and SaskPower responded to the collision.

The 23-year-old male driver of the vehicle from Alberta was charged with driving at a speed other than is reasonable and safe as well as driving without reasonable consideration for others.
