The severe weather system has been extended for much of Sunday, affecting areas including the R.M.s of Battle River, Cut Knife, and Buffalo, including Wilkie, Medstead, Meota Mervin and the Battlefords.
Environment Canada said the warm and unstable air mass over southern Saskatchewan will combine with a cold front moving through the area to trigger thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of these storms are likely to be severe bringing conditions favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, damaging hail and heavy rain.
