New trial dates in youth stabbing case

A teenage boy charged in connection with an alleged stabbing at a rural-area party near Prince Albert is set to go to trial later this year.

The youth, who cannot be identified due to his age, is charged with aggravated assault and carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose in relation to an alleged incident last fall at an outdoor party near Prince Albert. Trial dates in the case were scheduled Monday at Prince Albert Provincial Court. The case is now set to be heard October 1 to 4.

The teenager was not present in court Monday.

The youth pleaded not guilty to the charges in February. His trial was originally set to start in May before it was rescheduled.
