Members of Prince Albert’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team arrested three people who were allegedly caught with marijuana, methamphetamine and a shotgun while sitting in a stolen car.

Officers spotted a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Sixth Ave. E. just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday night, police said, and saw three people sitting inside. Police approached on foot and arrested all three for possession of stolen property, but a search of the stolen car revealed a loaded, sawed-off shotgun with extra shells and small amounts of marijuana and meth, police said.

The three male suspects, a 22-year-old and 23-year-old from Prince Albert and a 20-year-old from Cumberland House, are all facing numerous drug- and firearm-related charges along with possession of stolen property. They were scheduled to appear Friday morning in provincial court, and are presumed innocent at this stage.

The Integrated Street Enforcement Team consists of members of the Prince Albert RCMP and city police.
