Police in Prince Albert are asking for help identifying a woman who allegedly brandished a needle during a robbery early Monday morning.

Officers were called to a business in the 2600-block of Second Ave. W. shortly after 5 a.m. July 16 for reports of a robbery. The lone employee told police an unknown woman entered the store, then walked behind the counter and pointed an uncapped needle at the worker while demanding $40 from the till. The suspect pulled the cash drawer out of the till and fled on foot, police said.

The employee was not hurt in the robbery, police said. Officers attempted to track the suspect with help from a K9, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian female, approximately 50 years old, with brown hair highlighted with blonde and pink streaks. The suspect was wearing a blue jacket, and pink pants, police said.
