Suspicious death deemed a homicide

Prince Albert police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old man Friday night as a homicide.
Police and paramedics were called to a man down in a yard near the intersection of Sixth Ave. and 20 St. E at 9:07 p.m on July 13, where they said Jordan Ballantyne was pronounced dead at the scene. Invesigators categorized the death as suspicious and an autopsy conducted yesterday determined Ballantyne was murdered.
Investigators from the criminal division are still searching the area for witnesses and evidence.
Anyone who may have noticied an altercation between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. that evening is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
