The man involved in a Jan.5 shooting in downtown North Battleford has received four and half years in prison.

Clayton Favel appeared in court Monday morning, facing 19 charges related to the Jan. 5 shooting in North Battleford, which included a victim being shot through the mouth.

With this week being Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week in Saskatchewan, not many people know the importance of relying on the generosity and consideration of others as much as North Battleford's Cheryl Olson.

This past hockey season, Lakeland Veterinary Services once again returned with their 'he shoots, he scores' initiative, where for every goal the Battlefords North Stars scored, Lakeland Veterinary Services would donate $5 to the Battlefords Humane Society.
