Four people have been charged with multiple offences in relation to an ongoing investigation.

On Tuesday, Battlefords RCMP executed several search warrants at various locations across North Battleford and Battleford under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited North Battleford Thursday for a brief meet and greet, and to show his support for Larry Ingram - the local Liberal candidate in the upcoming Battlefords-Lloydminster byelection. 

About 900 people packed the Dekker Centre to attend the event.

According to North Battleford administration, the next phase of downtown revitalization on 101st St. from 12th Ave. to the Library will be much smoother next year and will have less impact on the business community.

Husky investing $700 million for new Edam and Mervin-area plants

Husky Energy is planning to create two new thermal plants in Saskatchewan, one of which will be in the Edam area, for a total value of $700 million.

Both projects are expected to start heavy oil production in 2021.
