The golfers taking part in the third Brian Maunula Memorial Junior Golf Tournament will notice some big changes this year.

Anyone planning to take part in the Town of Battleford's annual parade can sign up now, and entry forms are available on the town’s website. Those wishing to field a float will need to register in advance to participate in the big event, which is planned for Aug. 10.

If you are a victim of crime in the Battlefords area and are unsure of where to turn, the staff at the Battlefords Victims Services program want to help.

Members of CBI Physical Rehabilitation recently held a door-to-door food drive throughout the city and collected over one ton of food. This donation was turned over to the Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre.

Winner declared in battle of the food banks

It may have been a friendly competition between three area food banks but the real winners were those the agencies serve as more than $41,000 worth of food was collected during a recent Food Wars challenge.
