The leader and founder of the Battlefords and Area Gender and Sexuality Alliance believes the passing of Bill C-16 is a huge win for the local LGBTQ community and will help eliminate discrimination.

A family from Mervin, SK is hoping the public can help their daughter, six-year-old Paige Schmidt, by offering to have a simple swab test done, but it's a test that could mean life or death for the child.

Battleford activates equipment to comply with wastewater standards

After finding the level of green algae was above normal in its wastewater treatment lagoon, the Town of Battleford has activated a third piece of equipment to ensure its compliance with provincial environmental standards.
