Dairy Queen paving way for bigger parking lot

North Battleford's Dairy Queen Grill and Chill Restaurant is taking the "out with the old, in with the new" adage seriously to start off the new year. 

The local business demolished its old vacant store Tuesday, and plans to replace it with more parking lot stalls for customers.

The first of many motion sensor lights was installed by the North Battleford Fire Department yesterday in an effort to reduce preventable crime in the city.

Chamber celebrates local fashion designer's success

Melissa Squire may have started her life planning to be a doctor, but her love for art and design led her on a new course and a successful career in business.

"I decided to follow my passion, which is creating, anything really, and fashion found me," she said.
