North Battleford rent increases defying provincial trends

North Battleford seems be the anomaly in the Saskatchewan renters market, according to recent data.  While other communities have lowered rent when experiencing an increase in vacancy rates, North Battleford has increased rent while vacancy rates have climbed to an all time high.

Poinsettia tradition comes to northern Saskatchewan

Over the past number of years Project Poinsettia quickly became a Christmas tradition bringing holiday cheer to residents in hospitals and long-term care facilities in northern Saskatchewan.

With the problem of AIDS growing rapidly in the province, the Battlefords will be recognizing World AIDS Day with a number of local initiatives.

North Battleford City Hall administration is proposing a three per cent property tax increase and 4.5 per cent utility rate increase for next year in the first draft of the 2018 budget, presented to council at the first budget deliberation meeting Wednesday night.

Local wealth management team commits $25,000 to Winter Games

The sponsorship donations for the Saskatchewan Winter Games keep rolling in as Rongve Gabruch Schell Weikle Wealth Management has committed $25,000 and will also be the official sponsor of the weightlifting competition next February.
