While the Battlefords Relay for Life may still be two months away, the organizing committee has been busy trying to raise awareness about the 12-hour marathon within the local community.

Some local community leaders are crossing their fingers hoping the provincial budget being released Tuesday will be more favourable than last year’s offering.  

The City of North Battleford's Mayor Ryan Bater said he hopes some of last year's changes will be reversed.

Battleford residents will now be able to dispose of their garbage without having to cross the river to do it.

The Town of Battleford announced at its last meeting the new Loraas Environmental Services waste transfer station opened to the public on Tuesday.

Man facing drug and weapons charges released on strict bail conditions

A man who was arrested for drug and weapons related charges following a Battlefords Municipal GIS Section search of a residence in North Battleford on March 22 has been granted bail.
