A community meeting brought people together to have their say about Meadow Lake’s historical stampede grounds and grandstands, and it seems many want to see the facility stick around.
It was a drama-filled weekend for all the right reasons for a number of students at Carpenter High School.
The Region 8 Drama Festival was held in Spiritwood from April 12-14, where a total of nine schools performed pieces, including Meadow Lake’s CHS and Jonas Samson Junior High.
It’s a symbolic gesture thousands people across the country are participating in — putting on a jersey to honour the Humboldt Broncos killed or injured in a crash last week —and many Meadow Lake residents are taking part.
