M.L. COPS provides valuable service to RCMP

Meadow Lake’s Citizens on Patrol (COPS) recently returned to action and the RCMP couldn’t be happier to see them back.

Const. Lindsey Badger serves as the RCMP liaison and said the roughly 20 COPS volunteers are a valuable resource because they provide an extra set of eyes on the city.

M.L. fire crews battling flames daily, but don't foresee evacuations

The Meadow Lake Fire Department has been busier than usual for this time of year.

Neil Marsh, fire chief said crews have battled, on average, a fire a day.

“Every year is different but a stretch of a week or more with a call or more a day is certainly above average,” Marsh said.
