Mitsuing wins Meadow Lake chuckwagon races

After a rousing weekend of Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Assocation (CPCA) action, Loon Lake’s Ray Mitsuing and his team took home the title.

The event took place during the evenings of Friday, July 28, Saturday July 29, and the afternoon of Sunday, July 30.

Wayne Knight of St. Walburg is currently sitting in first place in CPCA standings heading into the Meadow Lake races this coming weekend.

Local chuckwagon drivers looking forward to Meadow Lake show

It’s been a positive season for two chuckwagon drivers from the region.

Wayne Knight and Ray Mitsuing say they're both feeling pretty good heading into Meadow Lake’s races this coming weekend, July 28-30.

The Battlefords and Meadow Lake are under a heat warning until Friday with temperatures expected to reach 29 C.

Heat warning issued for Battleford, Meadow Lake area until Friday

Stay out of the sun and drink plenty of fluids, as a heat warning has been issued by Environment Canada for our region.

The warning includes the Battlefords, Meadow Lake, Unity and even further north to Buffalo Narrows and La Loche.
