1935 – 2017
Ralph Edward Foster passed away near Prince Albert, SK on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the age of 82 years. He was born on Monday, January 28, 1935 in Nipawin, SK. Ralph is survived by his son, A.G. / Bud (Linda) Foster; his four daughters, Debra McMullen, Donna (Duane) McKay, Kelly Venance and Karen (Kevin) Duchscherer; seventeen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law Dora (Donavon) Coreman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Marie Coreman in 2016; his parents, Harold Dawson Foster and Florence Elenora Jacklin; and his step-father, William Lionel Smith. Ralph grew up in Toronto, ON and Vancouver, BC before joining the Air Force, where he met the love of his life, Liz, in Claresholm, AB. Ralph’s career as an Aviation engineer took his family to Red Deer, AB, Winnipeg, MB, and Cold Lake, AB where he retired in 1977. Upon retirement, he farmed as a partner with Lionel east of Prince Albert, SK. Ralph was very community minded. He volunteered with a variety of organizations, including the Air Cadets, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Anavets, Vintage Power Machines and the Prince Albert Exhibition Association. Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 452 30th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, Colette Harnett, Funeral Director.
