The family of Veldora Bompais is saddened to announce her passing on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Veldora is survived by her loving family: Marlene and Syl’s children, Cheryl (Shaen) and grandson, Adam, Lisa (John) and grandchildren, Josh, Taylor and Larissa, and Philip and grandchildren, Michael and Matthew; her daughter, Doris (Larry Lysitza) Manson and her children, Dean (Jacki) and granddaughter, Alex, and Dawne (Bert) and grandson, Christopher; her son, Maurice (Marsha) Bompais and their children, Robert (Jodi), and grandchildren, Kennedy and Bailey, Malinda (Chet) and Janelle (Cory) and grandchildren, Jack and Charlie; her daughter, Donna (Don) Wallner and their children, Danielle (Kelly) and grandchildren, Emily, Brandon and Grace-Lynn and Dori-Ann (Tyler) and grandchildren, Tyla and Desiree; and her son, Rick and his children, Regan (Jerad) and Nicole (Joel) and their mother, Tracy. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; her son, Raymond; her daughter, Marlene; her great-granddaughter, Jasmine Coquet; her son-in-law, Darryl Manson; her son-in-law, Syl Solár; and her parents, Joseph and Valina Forrest. Veldora was born on Friday, September 24, 1926 in Galilee, SK. She married Albert Bompais on Tuesday, September 5, 1944 and together they farmed in the Alingly district. As Albert’s health failed, the family moved to Birch Hills, SK where Veldora operated a Boarding Home for a great many years. She resided in Birch Hills until 2015, when she moved to Prince Albert. At the time of her passing, Veldora was a resident of River Breeze Retirement Complex in Prince Albert. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK, Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Veldora’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at River Park Funeral Home, Father Jim Kaptein officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
