Candle Lake marina gets approved; appeal outstanding

The controversial new marina for Candle Lake has been approved, although another appeal is outstanding.

In a narrow vote, council recently approved the servicing agreement with the developer for the launch and mooring spots for up to 150 boats on a parcel of land on the west side.

A special report on youth suicide in northern Saskatchewan, released earlier this week, is winning praise from the chief of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.

Victims in Saskatchewan will no longer need to worry about their job security when fleeing domestic violence, seeking support services or medical treatment, or attending court.
