Libyan Canadians protest in Regina's Victoria Park

A rally calling for the Canada and other world leaders to step in and remove Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi was held in Victoria Park on Monday.

Many Libyans living in Regina braved the bitter cold to march for an end to Gadhafi’s 42 years of oppressive rule.

Northern ice road opens

The Ministry of Highways has opened another ice road.

Today the stretch from Fond du Lac to Uranium City was opened.

The ministry is asking that only light load uses the road. It has a 12,696 kilogram weight restriction and is 46 centimetres thick.
