Business of the Day: Tec Water Supplies in Tisdale

Tec Water Supplies in Tisdale has been in operation since June of 1988, when it was established by Bill Kidd and his mother Pat.

Tec Water Supplies offers things like customized water treatment systems for homes, farms, resorts, hamlets and villages, along with pressure systems, filter systems and softeners.

“Any type of water that needs to be treated we can fix it up to whatever the standards are that the customers looking for,” Kidd said.

Tec Water Supplies has even designed and patented a unique product called the Floc 100 system.

The system is a hom- based and commercial system that treats water from dugouts, rivers and lakes.

Kidd said surface water is difficult to treat and that they got the idea for the Floc 100 system from how cities use their water treatment plants.

He said the system fills in a gap for smaller individuals who can’t afford a larger engineered system and they wanted to redesign a system that would work for everyone.

“We have actually gone a bit further with that and have now got it approved so that it can be used in villages and more in the commercial applications and stuff like that. It’s up scaled to do literally, thousands and thousands of gallons a day instead of just for a regular household is several hundreds,” Kidd said.

Kidd said they are looking to get into the commercial end of things a little more so they can continue to help their customers, whether it be a village, farm or hamlet.

He said their future plans are to continue growing Tec Water Supplies.
