Two new Target locations are opening their doors in Saskatoon.

The discount giant will have its grand opening Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. at the mall at Lawson Heights and the Centre at Circle and Eighth.

“We have had some great experience with a lot of Canadians shopping in our stores in the U.S.,” said Livia Zufferli, lead of marketing for Target Canada.

“(We) felt that there was good demand and good interest levels on behalf of the brand and it’s also a very strong retail market.”

The location hosts clothing, home wares , and even groceries with exclusive and international brands. Zufferli said they will be offering the same items as the U.S. locations with enhancements.

“We are bringing Canadian designers as well,” she said adding that they have Roots, Beaver Canoe, and Sarah Stevenson.

The Saskatchewan locations are part of the third cycle of store openings across Canada.

“What we have seen is a lot of positive feedback, a lot of great kinds of sale surge and demand as we open the stores ,” she said.

“What we have understood is where guests come to shop us first. Home and apparel has been fantastic. It has probably surprised us at how great the demand is.”

A location will also be opening at Northgate Mall in Regina.
