Prince Albert’s Bold Dance Productions took home numerous awards at three competitions, including the highest overall mark for the entire festival.

It took part in competitions in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Lloydminster for three out of four weekends in April. It won group and individual awards in the process.

“This is a great feat because there were nine different dance schools there from all over Alberta and Saskatchewan. Each studio had something different to offer and it was a great learning atmosphere for us all. Earning the highest mark at a festival is quite an accomplishment that not only the dancers in the group are proud of, but everyone who attends Bold,” said co-owner Kim Schick in a statement.

Overall, Bold Dance Productions won more than $5,000 in awards at the competitions.

“Being a new dance school, we definitely had a great first competition season, we’ve seen such growth from all our students and are so very proud of them,” co-owner Brooke Wozniak said in a statement.

Bold Dance Productions will be holding its first annual recital on May 11 and 12.
