Antique guns stolen from Vanguard home
Half a dozen old and antique guns are missing after a break-in at a house in Vanguard over the summer.
According to RCMP, the home was broken into between Jul. 7 and Sept.14.
The six long guns were all old or antique. They include: a Second World War Lee-Enfield rifle which had been convereted to a sportsman model with the barrel and stock being chopped, coloured dark walnut and a red recoil pad on the end with a shoulder strap; a 22-Magnum lever action sally gun; an antique short 22 with a removable barrel; an old 16 gauge shotgun, single shot, that had been restored; a 45-calibre black powder rifle; and a Winchester rifle model 1894, lever action, with a medium brown stock and a light brown fore-stock.
A vauable coin collection and some jewellry were also stolen.
