N.B. receiving more funding for policing

North Battleford has received some new funding for policing, thanks to help from the province.

The Government of Saskatchewan announced Thursday it will be providing $770,000 for targeted police initiatives.   

The grant will be used to fund seven existing North Battleford RCMP positions in 2017-18.

On behalf of Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan, Battlefords MLA and Advanced Education Minister Herb Cox said in a release “community safety continues to be a priority for the Government of Saskatchewan.
