While the temperatures may be dropping in the coming months, the entertainment at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre will be heating up.

The official preview of the centre’s winter/ spring season was held Wednesday night.

Some of the more well known acts scheduled to perform include the Trews, the Arrogant Worms and Corb Lund.

Another highlight from the upcoming season will be the Homegrown Series which starts Jan. 26 with Come Together, featuring Heidi Munro and the Real Groovy Band. On Feb. 8, Larry Krause will pay tribute to great Canadian acts such as Gordon Lightfoot, Gary Fjellgaard, Ian Tyson, Wilf Carter and Stompin’ Tom Connors. Then on May 1, Donny Parenteau presents Colours of the Sash, which will feature music from the beginnings of Métis fiddle to jigging, then progress into a variety show of Métis artists.

The E.A. Rawlinson Centre is also going to forge into a new direction in the new year, with a brand new Cabaret Series, where the audience and band will be sharing the stage of the Olive and John G Diefenbaker Theatre. Prince Albert’s own Rymestone will kick off the cabaret experiment on Mar. 2.
